Cleveland marathon

Running in the city of Cleveland was a delight. The course started and ended in the heart of downtown; it took marathoners around some of the most picturesque spots, passed by several landmarks, and stretched out to more open roads along Lake Erie. It was a unique combination between the exhilarating energy of the city center and the calmness of the surrounding nature and residential neighborhoods. Although there wasn’t any major elevation, there were several rolling hills throughout the entire route, and most of them were tough to run through, considering it was rather windy. Besides this challenging factor, the weather conditions were ideal, and the overall event was truly enjoyable.
